Want to “splash and dash” your way to earning a merit badge? Register for the Council’s offering of the Multisport merit badge!

Merit Badge Meetings

Interested Scouts will attend an instructional session with MB Counselor Betsy Block:

  • Sunday, September 13th from 4-5:30pm in the Piedmont Council Scout Room

Multisport Event

Following the session, Scouts will participate in the Splash and Dash event, information below:

  • Date: Sunday, October 25, 2026
  • Location: Mills College (5000 MacArthur Blvd, Oakland, CA 94613)
  • Time: 7:30 Check-In/Registration Opens

All participants must have completed their Swimming Merit Badge in advance of the Multisport Merit Badge. Scouts will be able to do a 200yd swim and 2k run, or 100yd swim and 1k run.

 

Completion of the Multisport Merit Badge requires:

  • Full participation at the instructional session
  • Creation and submission of 4 week training plan (template will be provided)
  • Two follow-up items (how will I continue practicing multisport; a pro-athlete who inspires you; participation/volunteering at another event)

  • “Education” and discussion on the merit badge and multisport as a whole
  • Registration for the race
  • Code for FREE USAT membership
  • Festive swag item
