About Piedmont Council

Piedmont Council Scouting America, located in Piedmont, California, uniquely provides youth in our community with opportunities to learn and develop character, leadership, citizenship, and fitness through age-appropriate adventures.

Piedmont Council Scouting America

25% of Piedmont youth – boys and girls – participate in Scouting programs every year.

We aim to bring the benefits of Scouting to as many youth as possible through Cub Scouts, Scouts BSAVenturing Crews, and Police Explorers.

The Piedmont Council office is conveniently located on the Piedmont Community Church campus. We support our programs with a dedicated professional staff of four, and a volunteer board.

Impact on the Community

In addition to preparing Piedmont youth for life, Scouting benefits the community via thousands of service hours. Scouts give back through Scouting for Food, Piedmont Community Service Crew (PCSC) projects, scout-led Eagle projects, and more. Scouts learn about the importance of doing a good turn daily and citizenship.

Piedmont Scouting History

For more than 100 years, the Piedmont Council has prepared Piedmont youth for life. Our Scouting programs are deeply embedded into the community. Notable Piedmont Scouts and Scouters include Stephen D. Bechtel, Jr., Clint Eastwood, Wallace Alexandar, George MacNamara, and Nobel Laureate Gary Ruvkin. The movie, “Up!”, and Russell the Eagle Scout, were based on Piedmont’s own Troop 4!

Our Mission

Prepared. For Life.
