The Piedmont Council Service Center is run by a team of professional staff who are supported by a volunteer Executive Board and more than 200 registered adult volunteers.

Professional Staff

Our staff is here to support your family’s Scouting experience, from answering questions about programs and registration to helping with uniforms, books, and other resources.

Tess English

Scout Executive/Executive Director

Tess oversees the overall operations of the Council. She works closely with the Executive Board and Council committees to advance the mission of Scouting throughout the community.

Laural Fawcett

Registrar and Marketing Assistant

Laural is responsible for the Scout Store, registration, and the Council newsletter. Contact her for questions about Advancement and Trail to Eagle.

Herb Schmidt

Administrative and Finance Coordinator

Herb is responsible for Council finances and our back-end systems.

Eris Turner

District Executive/Program Coordinator

Eris supports all Council programs such as the Highlander Hike Series, Twilight Camp, Camporee, and Day Camp. They serve as the primary point of contact for volunteer leaders and new families.
